Registering with the practice

Temporary suspension of new patient registrations

For now, we have taken the very difficult decision to temporarily stop accepting direct applications from those wishing to register with us. This applies to all those wishing to register, except new babies of mothers already registered with us.

Our patient list has grown rapidly over the last year, whilst at the same time we have been unable to recruit enough new doctors to cover our existing workload. Faced with these challenges, we feel we must take this step so that we can focus on providing safe, high-quality services to our current patients.

For now, new patient registrations are monitored and allocated by the Oxfordshire Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). If you wish to register with a Didcot GP practice, please contact BOB ICB (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board) by email to bobicb-ox.palscomplaints@nhs.net and you will be allocated a GP practice.

The process is quick, with requests allocated within 1-2 working days and registration completed within 2-3 working days thereafter. If you need urgent medical help in the meantime, please contact your nearest GP practice - patients whose registration is pending can still access services.

Registering your newborn baby

Parents can register their new born baby if the mother is already registered with us. Please ask at Reception for a registration pack. For proof of identification we will need to see your child’s birth certificate.
