Tests and Results
How and when to obtain test results from the surgery
Getting your test results
Our Results Team, who are not clinicians, are available 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday on 01235 512288, press option 2, then option 1 'Results'.
Before they can be given to you, all test results are reviewed and actioned by your doctor, who will decide whether or not you need a further appointment to discuss them.
Please remember that it is your responsibility to call for your results. If you know what tests are being carried out please check that you are given all of your results; some tests can take longer than others to come back to us.
Results can only be issued to the patient
- General blood tests - 4 to 7 days
- Urine tests - 4 days
- Ante-natal blood tests - 10 to 14 days or speak to the midwife at your next appointment
- Swabs - 5 to 10 days
- Biopsies - 3 to 4 weeks
