Access to Services Over Christmas and New Year

 

Emergency prescriptions

While we are closed, if you run out of medication you normally have on repeat prescription you can order a limited amount to carry you over a few days via the NHS Emergency Prescriptions Service or by calling 111 and following the options for repeat prescriptions. You will be charged a standard prescription fee for this service.

Practice opening times

With the exception of the bank holidays for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, the practice will be open as usual over the holiday period.

  • Phone lines 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
  • Doors open 8.00am to 6.30pm. Late opening to 7.30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, except New Year’s Eve

Urgent care over bank holidays and weekends

Whenever we are closed, including on bank holidays, you can get urgent medical help or advice either by calling 111 or visiting the NHS 111 website

You can ring 111 or contact NHS 111 for help with:

  • a prescription or medicines information
  • advice about your symptoms or injury, including directing you to an appropriate out of hours clinical service
  • worries about your mental health (see more below)
  • problems with an existing medical condition
  • help for a dental problem - but try your dentist first (you can find your nearest dentist on the NHS website)
